>> You forgot to order the truck sideframes ;) they're made specifically to attach to the MTB towers. <<

but, I though they were to fit the Lok-N-Roll geep chassis, which I've got somewhere in my shed.
Anyway I ordered them and the fuel tank. Figured as I got to pay 24 euro for freight I might as well as make the order worthwhile, even though the exchange rate to Aussie $ is crap at present.
Already had confirmation that they have started printing ?? ( more likely, just in the queue ) with completion date expected on 22nd Jan so, should get here by mid February.

There should be 2 different truck frames available. One for the geep 9 and one for the boat. Let me check

GP9 detail improvements

Oops I forgot to make them available (sorry ).

Ok, these are for the geep 9 - they're a direct snap on to the L&R truck towers.

These are for the U Boat and fit in MTB sw1200 towers.

I know the prices are a bit high. This is because it's a single piece that has to be done 4 times. If I was able to use the computer I would attach all 4 on a sprue and that would bring the price down a bunch. I suppose it would make even more sense to attach body, fuel tank, etc. (everything) on a sprue. But that wasn't the intent when I did all the work.

It's actually why I haven't advertised any of this. I figured if someone comes along and finds them and is willing to pay the price, then fine. Otherwise I'll keep it to myself until I'm able to update the model files.

GP9 detail improvements

Having said all that, as time went on, some railroads replaced the aging AAR trucks on the U boats with the Blomberg trucks so you can use the geep 9 sideframes as well. Will need just a little work to attach them.

If you want to be totally prototypical, you'd have to research which RRs did this.

Link didn't wont but found them through the first link. Price is a bit of an ouch with tight budget after Christmas so, will probably use the Blombergs and maybe get the AAR truck sides later.

Dang, you've been holding out Boss!
One dumb question- the AAR truck side frames, they're 8 foot wheelbase? I got a set of the 9 foot MTB trucks, but I'd have to scrounge the switcher trucks
Unless I did the unit shown in your page, the SCL unit with the Bloomberg trucks!

The AAR trucks are whatever the u boat sized ones are which I believe is right around 9'. Feel free to double check me - it's been at least 2 years since I spent time on that model.

Oh and it's also possible I ordered 9' wheelbase trucks from MTB instead of using the SW1200 ones...they are 8'?

Sorry gang, it's been a long time and all those details I knew by heart have started to fade...

OK, I just wanted to make sure- the SW trucks are 8 foot (most switchers are- EMD's SW and NW series, Alco S units, etc) but the 9 footers are what I got!
