anyone on the forum ever install a lok and roll chasis to the lionel gp 9? do they give you decent instructions.

The instructions are ok. There just isn't a very good way to attach the shell to the chassis - it just kind of sits on it. Well, at least I haven't found a good way.

Instructions are OK but from experience I have learned about the first thing to do before starting the conversion.

Test the chassis on all the track you expect to run it over, forwards and backwards. Then swap the chassis end for end and do it again. Check the truck pickup wipers and adjust as necessary. When the chassis runs to your satisfaction then start the conversion.

Better to find and fix all problems before it is installed in the body shell. It is a pain in the butt to do it after.
