I am trying to reduce the wires to the minimum. The control panel above will be directly connected the the control unit with a short 16 way flat cable. (I wanted to use just a simple connector to plug in this modul into the control unit, but it turned out more complicated as a simple ribbon connection.)
From here 5 + 3 wires are going to the motor on the turntable. Another 2-4 wires will feed the track on the bridge ( locally nothing to do with the control unit) and probably the signal if there will be any. The design will be ready for that, however on the prototype I do not plan any signals or latches on the rotating bridge.

For the beginning I simplified my Turntable control for 3 buttons Left-stop-Right, but they are already internally addressed so later I can add a big control board with specific buttons for each required position.
Today I also received a dozen of MTB switch motors - i will compare them with my servos.

Where did you get these from? I contacted MTB about them but got no reply.

Direct from them, but the transaction was not easy. Finally I asked my friend in Prague to visit them personally , because I also did not get from them any reply ( not even a payment confirmation). He went there and picked up the motors personally....

Tuesday July 2nd is JAM Breakfast Day - That's John Allen Memorial Breakfast Day. July 2nd was his birthday.
It was started in 2013 on what would have been his 100th birthday.

We celebrate John Allen and his achievements and contributions to model railroading with a breakfast including JAM, preferably strawberry.

A small group of us are going for breakfast at the Dedutch on third street in North Vancouver.
This will be out third year of gathering on this day.

Hidden yard control

Meanwhile I built the control unit for the 5 track hidden yard. Recently it is manually controlled, but the preparation is done for the microprocessor control.
All trains will stop there and continue when the yard is full.

Warehouse 3

There is some progress on my layout. The fiddleyard control works, the trains are running around to find all critical places on the layout before the top level will be installed. Meanwhile I bouild some scenery and also some buildings and bridges.

This is the warehouse from Sikulove/Igra from Czech republic. The kit is very accurate highly detailed and is not a shake out from the box construction. Exact laser cut parts and very filigran construction. Unfortunately the instruction guide is very simple and the manufacturer did not made any preparation for lighting.
I installed 22 lamps in 5 individual circuits and modified the kit for this. Some parts are still missing from the roof.

The next is my new road bridge:

The lamps are also homemade, the LEDs are not installed yet.
