Most likely it is, But it looks "foreign" enough for me!
Just got a few more hits on eBay, but, as much as I would like a less expensive engine, buying a fully functioning piece for terrain seems a waste.

Search German eBay for "bttb". Tons and tons of old stuff for next to nothing. A lot of people accept PayPal and will ship to US.

+1

Keep an eye on ebay. There is often some old stock going cheap.

Again, Thanks guys! I keep looking, get tired of not finding anything and bam! Someone points a car or engine out to me that is a good deal, keep them coming!
I was and am looking for "junk" right now, no sense in investing in a working set that ham fisted opponents are going to toss about the table like toys!!
I picked up an Open Fire set for $15 from a guy that just didn't want to get into 15mm after being sucked into Bolt Action and 28mm!!

It is as tom says a triang TT-3 meat van not atillig van. In the UK many TT-3 modellers 3mm scale to most people nowdays often use 15mm wargames models as scenery accesories 3mm scale is 1;101.6 close enough to 1:100 for your purposes. Can be found under triang TT easily on ebay.co.uk rrasonably cheaply
Hope this helps
