Sure it is- That's not a 2-10-4, it's that Metric system messing you up- it's really a Mikado!

It's not the metric issue...
It's that alternate Base-8 universe where a Mikado IS a 2-10-2...
and the Base-8 Selkirk (aka 'Texas') is of course a 2-12-4... <VBG>

Love the Selkirks too. Having had a cab ride in 2860 when I was 14, the Royal Hudsons also have a special place in my heart.

Also the nifty electrics that ran through the St Clair Tunnel between Sarnia and Port Huron, and the CN boxcabs that ran around Montreal.

Canadian National #47, I like the rather rare design of it.

A couple more.

Not a 4-6-4 but still a Suburban Tank engine.

For steam - the Royal Hudson but for our purposes a good 2-8-0 would be better.

For diseasels the Train Master, big, ugly, powerful. Even the Silly Pacific used them in California in commuter service. They had fast throttle response so they had the acceleration needed for commuter service.

I'd love a TT Trainmaster as well, they're a favorite too. But they have the same problems for modelers as the Baldwin diesels- lots and lots of louvers! I think Richard Edmonds was working on one- Richard, any luck?

Hi Al
Yeah I did do an etch for a Trainmaster, I had some problems building it and am re-drawing the original to try to improve it. It was a large drawing and there is a lot of stuff to deal with. I tend to go headlong into things without really thinking it through and then run into silly mistakes that put me off completing the thing. It is on the back burner just now as I wanted a break from it same as the RS1. Sorry to be so negative.
I might pick it up again in the New Year though. Sorry chaps this has veered off topic from Canadian Locomotives I apologise
