F1, anyone?

Curious if any of you watch F1?

I just finished watching the Australian GP... impressive run by Petrov, congrats to him for the podium spot! :)

Australia always gets me, that sharp, narrow turn right off the start...

Fantastic race from the Russian. He's always had pace - and unfortunately a tendency to destroy the car. I hope he's gotten over the second part. Terrible that Kubica wasn't and won't be in the other Renault.

Agreed. I hope hard for the best for him. I remember one time a reporter asked him how to say his name, he said, "Say Kubika - it sounds faster than "kubitsa"" :D

F1... Is that a QUESTION?

My wife and I watch F1 together... even when we're NOT together!

At home in California, we set the alarm for absurdly early hours... get up and watch together on the couch. I have my Laptop running an Excel spreadsheet tracking positions, pit stops and retirements. After the race ends, I track the Championship points and standings.

When I'm in Europe or China... we Skype and watch it on our local television channels. (The US feed is usually delayed a couple of minutes.)

Since she is from Budapest... we did manage to celebrate our 5th Wedding Anniversary at Hungaroring in 2004.

Nice, Richard!

For all the times I've been to Hungary, I've never once managed to get to a race. :(

But the last family reunion in 2009 up in the Pilis mountains north of Budapest at a cousin's cottage - the whole family, everyone from Hungary and Canada and Sweden, men women kids, everyone in the little main room of the cottage, sitting there and watching the race intensely. Was a lot of fun. :)

Closest I've been to an actual race was at the Vancouver Indy a couple times... :P

My wife will watch the races with me but only the ones at decent hours. The super late and super early ones are just me and the beer :)
