Entered the Digital Age

Entered the Digital Age

Postby sman » Tue Dec 08, 2015 7:57 am

Picked up a Zimo MX622N some time ago, but only just recently purchased the NCE PowerCab starter set. Connected up both ends of the system, controller and decoder and nearly fell out of my chair when I turned it on and it all worked as advertised. I know it's 2015 and we have standards and all, but still amazes me :)

Makes me wish now I'd got one with sound, although would've been impossible to fit it in I think.

Cheers,
H

Welcome to "magic" :) As far as sound goes, I suggest you get an idea of what you're getting before you spend the $$$. Due to the space restrictions in TT and the smaller scales in my opinion it's very hard to get decent sound. Although, sound is a subjective thing.

You could always repeat "Chugga-Chugga-Choo-Choo" into a coffee can.

I can't believe how tight things are in these locos, what do the N scale guys do?!

But otherwise loving the control. See how much hair I have left when track, points, wiring, etc start going down.

Sound in TT
Hello folks
I have Czech goggles 750 Roco factory fitted sound I also have T478.1 MTB with Zimo sound chips in i use Nce power cab control unit I have spent many hours in Czech right by them and travelled on both as my son lives in CZ
I have spent hours just listening and believe me the sound of the T478.0 was something not to be missed
I am certainly no expert but they sound pretty good to me
