DIECAST TT scale trucks, tractors cars

DIECAST TT scale trucks, tractors cars

Looking to the forum for some help. What are known sources for available DIECAST vehicles as noted above? I would like to obtain a few in the range from 1930's -- 1960's, preferably north american or Russian vehicles.

Do you need the diecast (i.e. metal) models only?
RailTT offers some resin cast models

Arseny,

I would need metal models of trucks, cars or other vehicular equipment in TT scale. I located a web site called Fairfield Collectibles that specializes in this field. According to Fairfield diecast models are metal, but their business in selling these models includes some that are made of resin. The site does not state if the process used in producing these resin models is a "diecast " process.

Fairfield also stated that diecast models range from 1:18 down to 1:87 (HO), but it is uncertain and unlikely that smaller models have been produced in metal through the diecast process.

If I can't locate true diecast models, then I'll certainly go for the resin models in TT scale. A good source of these models would be???

Some diecast models in 1:125 scale are available on Ebay. But they are modern ones.
For example:

These are mining/building equipment - grader, dozer, mining dump truck, loader, etc.
But they are expensive - for example, CAT dozer is approximately $60 or so.

Also, SIKU offers some diecast vehicles as toys - Volvo dump truck and the school bus.
But I afraid they are not suitable for the 1930s-1960s as you need.

They may be available in your local toy shop.
But be careful: SIKU also offers similar models in the HO scale.
These ones are smaller and the scale is TT or similar to TT. But they even do not specify the scale for them.
They sell them as toys.
Nevertheless, they are nice and can be used in TT.

If you go for the resin cast models, RailTT offers a lot of different American cars and trucks.
I showed their models in this topic:
automobiles-t1549.html

RailTT's website (in Russian): http://railtt.ucoz.ua/

If you like their models and need some, just send me the PM or email.

As concerns Russian prototypes - some are available in Russian or German hoppy shops, but I am not in contact with manufacturer(s). ZiL-130 truck (plastic model) is very popular. Also ALi-Studio offers a lot of different models, see their catalog in PDF:
http://www.12mm.ru/base/media/media21/s ... _light.pdf
http://12mm.ru/base/media/media24/LK_ALi_2015-16.pdf
- but they do not manufacture all these models permanently, only "by portions" - they produce some model, sell it and go to the next.
