Decals for EMD

Decals for EMD

Postby Norkin-model » Thu Sep 09, 2010 9:41 am

Hello guys!

In order of finishing my model on EMD SD 45 – I’m asking you about decals!

I can include decals of some popular lines, so I need to know all parameters of characters, font which is using in numbers and e.t.s.

May be there is some phrases which can be placed on each loko?

U.P. is my favorite and may be 2-3 more - can you help during this week?

In most cases there isn't a computer font that will be a correct match, except maybe for the small lettering.

That said, if you want, then over the next week or so I can draw up an image file for decals for Seaboard System and Burlington Northern.

If we are to do an image file, what format would you prefer?

Yes - next week is also posssible!

I prefer *.ai or *.eps (all fonts in curves, program version CS2) but *.cdr( fonts in curves, 11v.) is also possible

Thanks, am i alone in love to U.P. color system?

Well, I like the colour scheme... I just can't stand the UP itself! ;)

I still don't know what I want to do. It will probably be NS though since it's what I see all the time around Atlanta.

GIMP for example can write the .eps file format, Inkscape .eps and .ai too. Both are free software!
