DCC amusement

Last summer I got a set top box (Matricom Gbox Q2) for watching movies on TV. It's based on android and has wifi and usb inputs. I installed the Roco control app. The box remote doesn't work with this but using a USB mouse works. I could run a layout from the TV. The shelf in the photo isn't a layout, just has trains sitting on it, and has a temporary test track for the experiment. I can't think of a practical use for this set up, but it was amusing to try it.

Hey that's pretty cool! It may be a good way to get kids into model railroading. Also if you want to demonstrate to a large group.
