I think that these are pretty good.

They would work for warm climate, like Florida or other southern states.

Get rid of the ice dam on the roof.

Further north, I'd get rid of the sky lights and switch from clay roof to shingles.

The second house is like a ranch house.

It's good for the south, but in the north, I'd cover the outdoor fireplace and enclose the breezeway.

What does it mean - "ice dam"?

"Shingles" - do you mean wooden roof? Or something else?

Don't worry.. I'm using the wrong term. The "Ice Dam" is a "Snow Guard" which is the thing that looks like a small fence on the roof of the first house.

If you have a slate, metal or clay roof in an area that gets a lot of snow, you need to have something to keep all the snow from sliding off the roof like an avalanche.

In North America, clay roofs are more common in the south where there isn't enough snow to warrant any "Snow Guards". Architecture in the southern states is influenced by Spanish style with stucco siding and clay roof tiles.

In the north, clay tile roofs are uncommon.

A wooden roof made from Cedar shakes is rare after 1930.

Asphalt Shingles are common in the north. These are not as slippery and you don't need "Snow Guards".

Large mansions, railway stations, and government buildings will have Slate Tile roofs or Copper Sheet roofs.

These are too expensive for regular homes.

Among model railroad published drawings, anyone have favorite trackside (railroad or customer) structures they'd most like to see in TT scale? I'd like to make a list from replies. Or, other favorite structures from other sources or preferences?

Maybe. Do you mean TT-scale European models, or H0 or N-scale American models?

I meant European models, but possibly also a few HO oder N scale models can be taken for this. I suspect some of them will be somewhat over- or undersized for their gauge.

Yes and No, I think these are all kits they produce. :|
The question is, what type of street scenery you want to build: a small town, an industrial quater, a main or byroad and so forth. I think the best would be to make a plan with the available models in mind and see what's really required.

One more vehicle, suitable for TT.
Mercedes-Benz L- (or LK- ?) serie truck.

It was produced in 1958-1995. As some people told me, they were (and are) in use in Canada even today. So, I think, you can meet such truck in USA too (?)

The model was made by Gabor.

Those two houses would fit in just fine with little or no modification in a North American proto layout in my opinion.
