OK guys, a little help here. At the bottom of every page is a Quick Reply button. What does it do and how is it different from the Post Reply? :?: :?:

Also, each post has a Quote button. What does it do? :?:

I reviewed the FAQ section, but was not able to find these specific answers. If I entered these questions in the incorrect topic, please move as appropriate.

Thanks

Here is a pictorial demonstration of the differences:

Also, with Full Reply, the preceding posts are shown below the "Post A Reply" section, with the newest preceding post at the top, which makes it easier to quote multiple posts from other members in your reply.

The "quote" button is if you want to quote a post in your post - like Angry did quoting your question in his reply above.

Another thing with the "Post Reply" is the ability to add attachments - very usefull for images.

You can even quote yourself if you want.

You can also quote other people quoting other people as well.

Does that mean I need to make and post more of those demonstration pictures? I can if needed.

To AngrySailor and ConducTTor: Much thanks for the prompt replies and the useful information. I noticed that the Quick Reply also has a Full Editor button, if one wishes to return to full feature mode. And to show that we all can learn new tricks, this post was made using Quick Reply!!

Thanks again

Re: Board Suggestions / Problems Viewing as guest

Postby Bill Dixon » Fri Sep 20, 2013 5:18 pm

When I go to the home page as a guest and try to "View active topics" I get an error message:

""Information

Sorry but you must be registered use the search system.""

I didn't use to get this message. What changed?

I can select a Forum and view messages that way and of course logging in always works.
