Should we be politically correct talking about the Nazis?

From the other side I think it is not politically incorrect to say that somebody win the battle, if it was a honest battle.

Well the general idea of "political correctness" is to not offend someone. When it comes to the Nazis, I see nothing wrong with offending them since I assume most Germans don't associate with them.

The planes that were downed however, I consider German technology not Nazi technology. Maybe I'm wrong?

May be, you're right.
But here in Germany the paranoia referring to that chapter of German history is so pronounced that you will always find people calling you "Nazi" when you extol German technology of that time.
