New version of DCC uncoupler for Tillig

Postby CN-TT » Tue Apr 08, 2014 4:43 pm

Hi,
I made a new version of a Tillig DCC coupler. I took a mini pager motor with the size of a "tic tac". The mechanical part ist done. Now I have to reduce the current coming from the decoder because the motor is only for 3volt max.

Hi Bernd,

no problem!!! As I can see, you've been busy with the GP38 project. Thanks again! I think I will open a new thread for the Kadee version when it's finished.

I know, getting old is only fun when you're under the age of 18
Don't worry, I already pre-linked it to "youtube" as a teaser. :shh:

This appears to be an old article, but the method might be useful-

Automatic DCC coupler (part2)

Postby CN-TT » Wed May 07, 2014 6:58 pm

Hi,
here is a new kind of DCC coupler on the other side of the same loco.
I made a solenoid (8x5mm) and the mechanics. The function is nearly the same. Now I have 2 independent DCC couplers on this engine. And it works, AGAIN!!!
