Status Report 01/07/2017:

1.) Layout design in progress - finalizing plans
2.) Participation Increase in progress
3.) Locos 7/12
4.) Railcars 3/24
5.) Vehicles 0/12

One more BTTB 0-8-0 chassis has been serviced and readied for "North Americanization", and a BTTB B-B diesel is being prepped for conversion to an ALCO-esque switcher.

Status Report 01/08/2017:

1.) Layout design complete - tracking down needed materials
2.) Participation Increase in progress
3.) Locos 8/12
4.) Railcars 3/24
5.) Vehicles 0/12

Layout design as follows, simple, one train operation with a minimum of clutter and plenty of space to show off structures and scenery:

One more BTTB loco has been selected for "North Americanization", a class 23 2-6-2 with a mangled front coupler and a shell with broken tabs. Disassembly for paint prep complete.
This will be the final BTTB loco selected for "North Americanization" as part of my 2017 TT initiative. The remainder will be new purchase or restorations of older North American power, with the exception of the planned ACS-64 project.

And here is a modified version of the above module, this time using both radii available:

Add two turnouts at the top and three blocks to the right. Connect the two ovals for more variety.

Thanks for the advice.

However, with the given parameters for the bedding track, particularly the need for extensions on the turnouts' diverging track, I have not been able to come up with a two loop interconnected layout that fits within the determined 3'x4' platform. This layout is designed to show off TT scale trains running, so the simpler the better.

You're welcome.

Ok, I see the what and why now.

Here is the original two loop 3'x4' layout that I came up with:

The problem is with the turnouts for the bedding track system, as they require extensions that put the dimension of the layout beyond the given 3'x4' layout size.

The reason for the 3'x4' layout size is threefold:
1.) Small enough to carry around by one person, yet large enough to run respectable length trains.
2.) Can fit in the back of our car if need be, with the back seat folded down.
3.) I plan on building a 5'x8' S scale layout for my Train Room, using a pair of 5'x4' sections of plywood, and with the 3'x4' sections remaining from a pair of 4'x8' sheets of plywood.
