With 310 radius going around about 200 degrees gives a length of about 110cm. Rise of 6cm or so ... so a gradient of about 5 degrees - I think :)

Hi Arseny,

Yes, I was able to see your video when you posted the URL address, and then sporadically whenever the iPad would show the videos on the forum (still trying to figure that one out). Is six cars the limit for your loco on that grade, or can you pull more if you want to? The train looks good in the video, I'm glad you were able to reduce the grade.

I did not try to pull more. I think it can take some more, especially if the trucks will be good (like Gold Coast ones).
But I do not need more; I am sure I will not use too long trains on my layout - it is too short.

There are approx. 25 cm of straight tracks before the curve, so it is about 4 degrees

I don't think so. Juup made a typo and you copied it
Gradient is measured either in % , ‰ (percent, promille) or as 1 in X
So your gradient is 4 %, 40 ‰, or 1 in 25.

Not sure Bill. It does appear to be an iPad specific issue though vs a forum issue.
