Armchair Modeller's Topic

I'd like to publicly retract my earlier statement about Lok-n-Roll. I was wrong do to a spelling error of my e-mail address. I had been hacked a month ago and had to redo everything.

I have purchased the 0-6-0 steam engine kit from Lok-n-Roll. Silvia was very accommodating and we exchanged several e-mails to make the purchase. Again I apologize for any inconvenience or hurt feelings I may have caused. All is well now.

Bernd

NOTE: edited from a 2-6-2 steam engine to an 0-6-0 steam engine.

Again I screwed up. It's an 0-6-0. That's why you couldn't find a 2-6-2. I have in mind to turn it into a 2-6-2 engine by adding pony and trailing trucks. Sorry about the confusion. I think I need to take some time off from trains.

A quick update on the purchase of the 0-6-0 from Lok-n-Roll. The order went in this past Monday and by the looks of the FedEx note I should be receiving it today 4 days earlier from the posted date of delivery.

I'll post pictures when I have it in hand, which should be by tonight.

The amount came out to $318.27 USD.

I've started a thread at the link below.

Is someone interested in blue FEC AAR 1937 40' boxcars?
I made this small batch to test the inkjet technology and I think that the result is comparable to ALPS decals in case of white print (and much better than ALPS decals for color print).
They will be available as soon as I get decals for the ends printed + applied and then the cars would get a half-matt clear coat. The inkjet printer used for this cannot print on the ends (but other machines can do that too).
Each car would cost around $50 - since the purpose of this was a test. Regular small-series production would be slightly more expensive.
Would there be any interest if the price was like $60 (different roads, different paint schemes)?
