I must ask....I see the 4 pack of cars available on Shapeways, but how did you get the lettering directly printed on? Who is providing that service?

I used Mimaki ujf-3042 printer at a printing company. I don't have that printer at home.

Ok, prints on 3D objects...I don't have one either. I think I would require decals.

It can print decals too. You can order the decals from Richard.

C&O boxcars will be available for sale. The quantity is very limited.
I have some problems with masking of the NYC car. I wish I had the original kits from Gold Coast...
I painted 3 cars and had to remove the paint from 2 of them again. I can make them with jade ends and roof instead of black. Would that be OK? The evil iphone shows the car as if it was blue. It is jade though.

This detail is to illustrate what the printer can (and cannot) do. It is readable - if you know what was supposed to be there.

Are any of the C&O and/or Southern cars still available?

No, no more C&O and Southern.
There are some P&LE cars in Century Green and some Monon cars in grey with red lettering.

How much, and are there any recent photos of the cars, particularly the Monon?

How much? I am thinking a pair of the Monon cars, and one of the P&LE cars.
