ALCO shells?

ALCO shells?

Postby AstroGoat760 » Thu Mar 29, 2018 9:35 pm

Does anyone have advice on where to get shells for an ALCO FA (and possibly FB) to fit on a Tillig BR218 chassis?

I am sure that it is worth a try.

I still have one unassembled kit made by PVM
I do not want to sell it, but if you don't satisfied by Shapeways and can't find some on Ebay, maybe it would be possible to copy it.

P.S. I was sure you have at least dozen of that kits

You can ask Mike from Lok-n-Roll.de if he had any ALCo shells left over.
Lok-n-Roll.de - we send worldwide

I will try the Shapeways shell first, with all that is going on the farm this month, it will have to wait until next month, most likely. If it works, or if it doesn't, I will post on it.

I wish.
I do have the Kemtron FA and FB kit, but I do not feel like dismantling the shells to try to make copies of them. (Plus I still have yet to try casting anything, and I am a little nervous about trying it out.)

But if you have the Kemtron kit, why do you need the resin one?
Just put the Kemtron body on the BR218 chassis, I beleive it will be ok

I have the frames for the FA and FB that I plan on restoring and using the Kemtron shells with, not to mention I am a little wary of modifying the shells to fit the BR 218 chassis at this time.
