60" waffle boxcar

60" waffle boxcar

Hi TT-fans,

I was wondering if it is known on this Board that Siggis, beside cabooses and other stuff, also sells the 60" waffle boxcar. This is a rather expensive resin car from the seventies, but it is very well made. I have seen resin cars and resin cars, this one has lot of detail and looks great. Several railroad companies used, or are using, this car, such as: NS, ATSF, UP, NW and Southern.

I hope I am able to show some samples of the kit on the NMRA fair in Portland.

And perhaps I produce a few of these cars in a certain livery depending on the costs.

Ciao,
Rob

I am sure, it is a very good car. If I model modern era and have a big room for my layout, I should buy it.

But:

1) I need short cars for my small layout. 40-ft and 34-ft. Even 50-ft car is a bit long for me.

2) I model 1950s, so I need cars for that era...

Nice looking car. Its always hard to tell just from a photo but the detail appears to be very good.

Unfortunately this car is to modern for my layout.

Wait Joe,

The kit will be probably available in the US as off the NMRA fair.

The photo of the end of the car shows "express height car", this should be "excess height car".
