Postby j p » Wed Apr 23, 2014 6:49 pm

Three generations of TT scale addicts.
From left: John's car, John Harmon, me, and my son Bjørn.

Greetings from John to all of you!

I haven't the slightest idea why it rotates

"Hello" to all of you and tell John his license plate is

Wonderful photo, jp. Kinda surprised that John drives a non american car :!: :!:

Did you get to see John's TT collection? I'm always amazed at what he still has and what he has accumulated over the years.

No, his collection is in the boxes. I brought home a tiny fraction of that accumulated material

I have seen only the boxes which contain his collection. He does not have any layout. He is trying to make his basement suitable for layouts. He has also other scales, not only TT.
I brought a tiny fragment home. I'll post in my questions topic to get others' opinions on identification of some models. Considering my modeling speed, I think I have enough to do for the next 20 years
I think that there is one engine which deserves to be kept as it is - if it really is what John told me it was.

Nice picture and what a small car for an american citizen - a Fiat 500. :o
I'm impressed.

LOL!
John has always liked small cars. He is a big fan of the old VW Beetles, and he has a newer version VW before the Fiat.
I was impressed when he came to visit me several years ago. He was moving to his new house and had a lot of stuff he wanted to get rid of, so I agreed to buy it. He said he would deliver it so he drove the 4 hours to get here and meet up with me and another TT'er, Tom Collard. I was amazed how much stuff he had packed into the VW, there wasn't much space left for him!

How did you fix the rotation?
I have now the same issue when I upload a picture from the Ipad ( made by Ipad). From other sources everything is OK.

I opened it in Paint, selected all (ctrl+o), copied (crtl+c), then closed and clicked "new" in Paint. Then paste (ctrl+v)
The original picture was taken by iphone. That may be the source of the problem.

Thank you. You are right, somehow there is an incompatibility between Ipad/Iphone imaging. The problem is I cannot fix this on Ipad ( when I rotate on Ipad it does not help). I have to go to PC. :boohoo:
