2022 NMRA National in Birmingham England

The 2022 NMRA nation will be in Birmingham England.

I do not know if there is any UK TT-Scale group that can be the organizer for that event.
Having been a while since I was in the UK (early 80s) this will be a good excuse to go back.

So much to do, ride the Welsh Narrow gauge, visit the National Railway museum, War Memorial Museum, . . . . . .
If time permits jump over to France to take in a few Canadian War Memorials.

I can't offer TT US outline modelling, but I can offer some accomodation - I have a narrowboat which is moored an hour's drive from Birmingham, but I (or anyone renting it!) could also take it up to the area. If anyone does plan to come over for this and wants to ship over some goods for it, I guess I could be a receiving address too. This assumes I don't leave the country in reaction to Brexit! The boat will remain in the area whatever I do though.

There's a bunch of us planning on side trips, either before or after the convention. We are looking at Ireland and France (especially Normandy), and military and industrial stuff, as well as railroads.

I can't, except for stuff like the boat which is a big investment!

I have 47 weeks til I retire, and I have to be an "indoor cat" until then. That means no sick days, vacation, and work every holiday I can. So, conventions and long trips are out for now.

My son goes to Princeton for the next five years, so I plan on visiting that general area - basically Washington DC, to the Canadian Maritimes -a couple times a year.

The next NMRA convention is Orlando, which doesn't work out for me, but the next three are driveable from California (Missouri and Utah), so I will attend, with modules, contest entries, crossbuck signs, etc. Then Santa Clara - 40 miles

Then Birmingham - I'll be there, but haven't yet figured how to get lots of stuff there.
