Please clarify this. Graeme and I intended to pick up Tibi's items on our way to show set up.

Show event one is complete. The van is fully loaded.

Room for more, but not much more. The GuiTTar will come Saturday morning.
I have all of Tibis stuff loaded OK so no need to drop by the store to pick them up.

Load in time is still 1:30 pm but there is some question if that will be delayed.

We are up. It took a while as the tables were poor. Been used a few to many years.
Still we shimmed them and got them level. Then added the table skirts. They look good!
Voytek made it by 4. Tibi by 5.
Were up and running by 8.
Of to the Press Box Pub. Gone down hill since last year.
Going somewhere else tomorrow.
Richard and Kat arrived shortly after we received our beer.
Home to pack up a few last minute items and then off to bed.
Going to be in the hall at 7am tomorrow.

Day 1 was very good. We ran European in the morning and switched to North American in the afternoon. There were relatively few glitches.

Terry inaugurated his latest Lionel conversion: a New York Central F3. It ran like a charm.

Voytek rebuilt a module and smoothed out the sharp swayback curves. It is miles better now.

Richard had fun with the guitar case. He also brought goodies (hoppers, tankers, boxcars) and we each bought a few.

Xenia introduced his new MAV intercity train that he got in Hungary this summer.

Bill was busy with the store, so head the least fun.

The crowds started in the morning and the show was very busy until 3-4 in the afternoon. Attendance seemed better then last year.

Overall it was a good day. We finished with a good dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant in the neighbourhood.

Off to bed now, tomorrow starts early again.

They look more than good. The display is one level up. Thanks for those who donated money for this.

Perhaps a strange question but - roughly how long does it take for a train to make it all the way around at normal train speeds?

Ha ha, strange minds think alike. I timed it yesterday: 4 minutes.

The show was good and well attended. Reported attendance was 3000 Saturday and 2500+ Sunday. This year there were more individual displays. Among them two were of British rail, and one out of town guy with an N scale oval. These are typical of show exhibits. Also, as shown in the photos, was an N scale layout of a Japanese scene. Another was of German HO done by the local participants of the European Train Enthusiasts https://www.ete.org

I didn't take many photos. Hopefully others will post photos of the show, too. One shown here is of Tibi's E94; the rest are my models. The F3s have a Tillig BR218 inside and were out on a test run. Since they worked well, more time and money will be spent to finish the job - like adding Conductor's Blomberg sideframes, putting in LEDs, etc, and making it Northern Pacific to match the Harmon passenger car kits which are also in the works.

This was a great train show; and having Richard Brennan there with his wife Katalin was like icing on the cake.
