2019 National Train Show - Salt Lake City, Utah

Having a lazy Sunday. Did some doodling. Found a better way to set up the tables and a sanity check found a few unused modules and a module in the diagram that does not exist.
Came up with this:
Salt Lake City Submitted mod..jpg
I have four and a sixth spare modules. If we really had to scrounge for modules, we would have thirteen modules if we stripped the industrial back area.
Hooking up the back industrial area will be something we will figure out on at Western Rails in a few short weeks.
The GiuTTar case display is getting a little compressed but is still workable. I do note that if we didn't use the GuiTTar case we would have room for two more modules.
If someone was to show up with a module or two for the display, there are a few places where we could remove a module to make room for them.

Well folks, I hate to say this, but I will not be able to attend the 2019 NTS this summer.

Long story short: with the better medical work-up and treatment that I have gotten here in the midwest as opposed to the VA in Georgia, they may have narrowed down a large chunk of my lower back problems. It looks as though one of the vertebrae in my lower back is messed up really bad, with a possible bone fragments floating around that are causing periods of issues, up to and occasionally including severe mobility issues, including having to use a cane or walker again for a bit.

If there is anything that I can do in support of the display of TT Scale at the 2019 NTS, please let me know.

We debut the Salt Lake City display at Western Rails this last weekend (March 24, 2019).
One of the problems with the setup was the varying location of the tables with setbacks to make the display work.
I decided to redo the table layout to make setup easier and then modify the display to fit.

This is the improved table setup. Everything lines up on an edge or end. No need to measure three inches here or there for a setback.

The display was easy to modify to fit:

A slight change on the right end replaced a 1/6 module with a 1/3 module.

Of course when we setup the real thing slight variations in modules will change the display.
We will deal with that then.

Can we try this to allow us to pull back the top from the table edge? It would keep grubby little hands farther away and it would make our access to the yard easier. Keep in mind that some of us have harder time leaning over the table to rail anything on the yard tracks.

Drawback: it needs two more table from the organizers.

This could make the layout shorter to allow the shift down:

It would be good to hand out TT information at the show. Should the TT pamphlet be updated? I was given a set of toner cartridges so I can print a few, if the printer is in a good mood.

Yes

Maybe. I believe AstroGoat has the latest version. We should get it and see if needs tweaking.

I produced an updated version back last November to reflect on the changes in availability and makers since the first version was made.

I will have to locate the file when I get back to North Dakota later on in the month.

Yes, that is one of them.
I was also working on a newer version as well, that has yet to be finished, but this one will suffice, in my opinion.

For those that are going to the 2019 NTS, would it be helpful if I made up a few hundred of these pamphlets, folded them up, and mailed them to one of y'all to take with to the show?
