2018 Cilliwack Lions Club Display

2018 Cilliwack Lions Club Display

Been thinking about the Chilliwack show.
At this time I don't think I will be available for Saturday, but I can get there for setup Friday and running and tear down Sunday. I will know more closer to the event.

I was thinking about the display.
We always do a variation on a U or C shaped display.
How about a long straight display?

This is 64' long giving us a mainline run of about 128'.
One side would be against a wall. It might be easier to watch as we only have to watch one side, not four.

Just a thought. What do you think?

I can be there for the set-up and both show days.

Important detail for when we talk to the Chilliwack organizers: we have to ask for new tables to avoid the 2-foot thick shims.

Last year I noticed that the Lego guys had brand new, perfectly flat melamine tables for their display and asked them how they got them. Turns out all they had to do was ask the organizers.

Chilliwack has confirmed that we can have a wall.
A long straight setup it will be.

I have been doodling a few possibilities based on what space we can get.
Linear Setups..jpg
I am not sure yet what modules Voytek will be bringing. If he brings another four modules then the first setup would be 72' long.

I have asked for 60' so far.
If we can't get much more than 60' then the fifth doodle is the more likely choice.

When I have confirmation of modules, I will ask about the space.

Yes, I am planing to be in Chilliwack. I will bring my three modules, but I don't know if I will be able to finish two new modules which I have been working recently on ( for the grain elevators).
Material necessary to finish them is going to be sent from Poland on September 17th, so everything will be in the Custom's hands.
Ussualy it takes about 10 to14 days, but in extreme cases up to 6 months.

It would be great if I could do it but….
