Not so good. Enthusiasm for TT has hit an all time low. Much more interested in my HO adventures.

Really can't put my finger on it. Best for me is just to plod along doing something else until I hit on a TT scale idea I want to try out. I had started a TT scale module last year that I wanted to take to a show this coming December and I just lost interest. I think if I leave it in plain site I might just start working on it again.

I have been in a similar quandary over the years, and remembering the "spark" has always set things in motion again for me.

Plans, eh? Dangerous - you'll only disappoint yourself!
As for me, I'm slowly chipping away at the US micro layout I started in July. Got the track laid, turnout levers fitted and now need to wire it all up, which is a couple of hours' work. I'll post photos when that stage is finished, but I'm going at a snail's pace. And I've just got back from a late holiday so I'm not yet back in model railway mode.
Rather than having a plan, I've just got a list of things to do, some of which I hope to get done before the end of the year. It's somethig like this:
Wire the layout.
Assemble fiddle yard and backscene.
Do ballasting and other ground scenics.
Source and make structure kits - some 3D, some flats.
Fit two SW1200s with DCC decoders.
Make flatcar, gondola and two boxcar kits.
Paint said kits, and 3 Shapeways road vehicles.
Source and buy figures.
And so on, till it's finished.
Then get it booked in to some shows, hopefully 2018/2019.

I would have to respectfully disagree, to a point. The Plans/Resolutions that CaTT, TTerry, and I set up for 2017 have been reasonable, which had provided some motivation for us to get things done, versus the status quo of sitting on our hands.

Since I had no plan...all has been progress. My choice of a 3- 1/2' x 6- 1/2' home layout was to ensure that I "probably" get much of it done, compared to the 12' x 10' TT layout (point to point with continuous run option) I once had built in my garage which never came close to fruition. The last of the track is being secured, except that pesky diamond  , simple block wiring is complete so things can run over it now. I have some preparatory scenic work to do such as cutting out for a water feature and then I'll start placing some insulation pieces for future terrain. Then there is the ballasting to do, not my favorite process, but needed. The most difficult part will be sourcing structures that not every TT person in the world has on their layouts.

I kinda figured that, and I agree, plans are good, as:
