Looks like you guys are having a good time :) And it seems like the previous kinks with the layout have been worked out.

It's over, aww.
Was a good show. Thanks to careful setup by the guys, the layout ran very well. The only disasters were caused by operator inattention when running four trains at once.

Bjoern wasn't sure it was a good show but I asked him: 'Did the layout run well?' Yes.
'Did we have a good time?' Yes.
Then it was a great show and we thank the NMRA for organizing the other exhibitors and vendors to keep us amused.
Next year Orlando? Maybe. Will be discussed under the Orlando topic.

One thing we did decide - If we are organizing it and providing almost all the modules and equipment, then it will be a Pacific Northwest TT-Scale Modellers setup, not a North American TT event. Need some of you to step up with modules and participation at these events.

More after dinner after all it is Beer O'Clock now.

Thanks for coming to Indy. It was great to put faces to the names and talk TT for a while. It also helped put in to perspective just how big the modules really are. I can only imagine the effort of some of the larger scales in transporting and assembling their displays. As I watched they all had problems with derailing and constant maintenance of their right of ways. You are fortunate to have a number of TT'ers close together. In the lower 48 we are spread far and wide, making it harder to put such an operation together. In any case I certainly appreciate your work!

Lessons learned.

Levelling the tables first helps with smooth trouble free running.
The matt board shims I made were perfect for this. Need to make more.

Levelling the modules was next. The drew levellers work. Need to figure out how to retro fit them to all modules.

Using a limited pretested set of equipment reduced the number of problems.

The show was Fun but tiring. I will do it again.

We came, we exhibited, we conquered... Now it's time to go home.

The takedown went well despite the slow access to the floor by car. We loaded the trailer quickly and tightly and we took off right away. We drove back to Champaign Illinois on Sunday. Today we drove ~900 km to just past Sioux City and across the South Dakota border. Tomorrow we will start slowing down a bit and smell the roses: the Dakota Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone.

Yes, it was a good show. It was not easy nor cheap taking this long trip but I think it was completely worth it. We waved the TT flag and we pushed the awareness of our scale up a few notches. We even mentioned a "tipping point" in awareness. The Piko booth ran out of TT catalogues.

Anyways, next is Orlando. The NMRA organizers want us there. Guys in the south-eastern US, it think it is your turn now. Let us know how we can help.
