Made it to Chicago after a less than wonderful flight.
Surprised I am still standing. Going to be mainlining nutrient cola all day to keep going.
Looks more like I will be at the hall at noon.
Where do I get my name tag?

Your name tag is waiting for you directly across the lobby from the show entrance.

After a great day we are at Killroy's Bar and Grill for BEER and food.
Despite minimal sleep (maybe 2 hours), I am still standing. Going to sleep good tonight.
The guy's did a Great job with the layout.

Tom, too bad you couldn'd make it to the show and dinner today! See you tomorrow.
Dinner was good and so was the beer!

The interest in TT at the show is very high  I do my best promoting TT and the MP1 motor.

What a long day.
It started yesterday morning at 7:30 AM when the alarm woke me up.
A full day of work and then off to the airport early.
Arrived early for my flight, too early in fact. They don't start pre boarding until three hours before the flight leaves. Oh well gave me time for a meal.
Pre board at eight. Initially it looked like the flight was not full . . .
but the people kept coming.
About the flight - all I can politely say . . . is cattle class.
Arrived in Chicago early - yeah, before C &I was open - boo. No problem with C&I - yeah. Ended up outside the secure zone - boo. Rode a train to the United terminal - Train Ride - Bonus. Easy through security - yeah.
Then walked to my gate. Area was full of people waiting for late planes.
Eventually boarded a flying pencil..
With taxying at both ends the thirty five minute flight took an hour. Retrieved my bag - did I mention that the flying pencil had almost no room for carry-on? Adventures ! getting to my hotel.
Check in, climb into the shower - Bliss!

Shower, shave, brush and clean clothes - feeling human again.
Off to the convention centre. Pass halls A through E - American Quilters Guild and Antiques Road Show. A busy place today.
Pick up my name tag in the show office - thank you Terry, and into the hall for a meet and greet.
Talked to Dana at Digitrax. They just released a new command station - the DCS240 (gotta get me one) and new pin..
Talked to George and Jarrett's at Soundrtraxx, Fred at the coach yard and so on.
Starting to feel hungry so picked up a hot dog and large coke.
Of to the layout to.meet the guys and Anna.
The layout looks great and runs well.
Did a few More walkabouts when I needed to wake up. Spent time with Bachmann, Peco and others.
Talked with Fast Tracks about modifying their turnout to handle European flanges.
We talked about larger corners, making an L shaped display.
Then off at six to dinner as mentioned before.
The walk back to our hotel let me know that my feet and legs were tired.
Now 34 or so hours after I got up yesterday it is time to crash.

Everything is going really well, as you can see from earlier posts. Here are some photos from the last two days.

Our layout is bigger than ever...

When was the last time a Rheingold whizzed by a ballpark?

... or a DR Eilzug past a Canadian flagpole?
