After a long consideration of the costs and determining that I really can't afford it
.
.
.
I am coming anyways.

I am booked on a redeye flight out of Vancouver tomorrow(Friday) evening with an expected arrival around 8 AM Saturday. I'll head to my hotel to cleanup and eat breakfast before coming to the hall.
Should be at the hall around 11 AM.
Because of screwy flight times I am heading home Monday.

I am staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites on West Washington Street, just a few short blocks from the convention centre and connected by overhead walkways to the center. Got a rate equivalent to the convention hotel rate.
Looking forward to a Great weekend.

I visited the set up this afternoon and tried to stay out of the way as much as possible. It looks really good!

My sister and her husband brought me to the show by the scenic route, so I arrived late as usual. Have photos but this borrowed laptop and windows 10 make it a real challenge. Not resized.

The hall is big. I think it's smaller than Portland show but Bjoern thinks it's bigger. Will be glad to see Bill. Also glad I brought extra chairs. Also glad there's an S-scale layout near ours. And even today at set up , seeing TT for the first time has changed one modeler's life. That's what we live for.

Soooo...

We made it, and no, we do not have photos of the Indiana welcome sign along the interstate (it was hiding in some bushes and I spotted it too late.

We arrived at 10:00 this morning, got the paperwork done and started the set-up. Unloading was very easy, since the aisles between displays are wide and we were able to drive up right to our location. Tom came by, helped us with the set-up and promised to check on us every day, when he can take a few hours off work here and there.

We took our time to level the tables and then the modules, hoping for a much smoother run this time. I am really happy how the whole process went. After Terry arrived, he registered our layout and the GuiTTar Case for the contest.

Tonight Bjoern and I went to a ballgame (my first one, Bjoern had to explain me what was happening) and we had dinner at the ballpark.

Tomorrow morning we have to be at the show at 7:00 to set up the trains before it opens. My personal goal is to take lots of photos.

Please bring some more shims, if it is not too late to get them. We used them all, they are that good.

I''ll make some more.
As I am only bringing carry-on luggage I will limited as to what I can bring on the plane.
Shims should be OK.

Interesting setup. Did we get the nine tables we were promised?
