I would say I am 50 percent likely to attend, and if I do, I will bring a few TT Traks.

I will know more after Portland, when I see all the ins and outs of the NMRA.

Basking in the afterglow of the Portland event...
I would say it is more likely that I -WILL- plan on going to Indy.

I plan on being there. I will have six modules (TTTraks). Here is how I do Indy:

Indy flights are $446 from the San Francisco area.
Chicago flights are $250. Driving from Chicago to indy is 200 miles (a little more than 3 hours)
If you want to be "fetched" from Chicago, or Indy Airport, group up and let me know. There is a 30 buck Greyhound to Indy, and they have half a dozen a day. I or someone can easily fetch you from Indy Greyhound or Amtrak (same station - half mile walk if you prefer).

City buses ($1.75) go to the Airport. If you get a cheap hotel, buy a weekly pass for 10 or 20 bucks.

There's lots of train stuff to see in Chicago, along with a great Museum of Science and Industry.
Not to mention an occasional train or two :)

So, I plan on flying into Chicago, around Friday? Then driving around and seeing stuff on the way to Indy. And flying home Tuesday, or so. Basically an 11 or 12 day trip.

I like to operate, but given a choice between layout tours and clinics, I would pick clinics. And I plan on doing Modeling With The Masters (Sun-Mon-Tue) But if someone wants the car, it's yours. I do want to go to the Beech Grove Tour (it's by bus, and get your name in the day registration opens - the 96 slots will sell out fast).

If you are a fraternity brother (or sorority sister),, you can join me on a visit to headquarters, north of the city (the convention is south). I have a roommate already, but I don't mind more - we can rotate in and out of rollaway beds. And naps are fine - the room will be available and dark.

I will more than likely make it to Indy. I'd love to discuss who will be bringing modules and the standard of the modules - seems to me TTTracks is the way to go. If there's a bunch of us, we should discuss what modules are needed so we know what to build.

Downtown Indy is very much oriented to make your visit easy. The downtown area is easily walked for all sorts of dining. Chicago has the rep, but Indy is so much easier and way less expensive. Good micro brewery offerings too!

Or we could have a cluster of TT Layouts at the show, ideally in the same area.

That may be better actually  it would give people the sense that many individuals are involved with tt (as is the case) vs one small group of coocoos.
