2016 Chilliwack Show

2016 Chilliwack Show

Postby Bill Dixon » Sun Jul 17, 2016 7:40 pm

At Indy we decided to display one day at Chilliwack as a pre run for the Vancouver, Train Expo.
We are going to offer our layout for display Sunday October 16, 2016.

There should be no problems with that. I will keep you all posted as to progress.

Hmmm... 944 miles to Chilliwick... Not likely.

On the other hand... VTE is again a possibility...

Given Bill's not being available for the show, I will look into renting a trailer to take the layout to The Wack.

Guys, thanks for all the ideas you floated.

You are right, bringing a smaller layout with Graeme's SUV and my Rabbit makes sense.

I have four corners and we can get a few straight modules from Bjoern and Bill. We do not need a layout plan, we are good at improvising.

But we need rolling stock. Please let me know what you can contribute.

From me no N. American trains. I planned to bring a passenger train of some kind, and E95 with a train of coal cars. Also more freight cars to run with a BR44 which is being delivered to the show. Z21 included.

My car is an even smaller Rabbit (non-diesel, with undoctored engine control software, can-you-smell-the-fresh-air-emanating-from-the-tailpipe type of das Auto). I can fit a lot of TT stuff in it with the back seats folded. There will be two 3x3 boxes to go in your huge (yuge?) Subaru.
