So question about the case. Is everything fully attached to the case? Can you carry it by its handle sideways or does it have to be flat?

This thing is FULLY portable. I only have to remove cars and the engine, remove lighting bar and place it on the main track and bolt it to the sides of the case (this ties the foam board down) unplug it and I'm good to go. Off to the next show.
I can even put it upside down. It is so robust, I even checked it with Amtrak back from Portland to Vancouver. While in my suitcase two plastic storage boxes were smashed, the GT was not harmed.
For storage it stands upright in the corner of my MRR (ModelRailroadRoom)

@MacG: No Batteries needed. Amtrak Cascades has 120 Volt power sockets in business class.

Thanks to all for the videos and photos from the 2015 convention. The kids really seem to enjoy the lower height (table height) of the TT layouts. And, seems like a future issue of MRH might have some mention of TT

@ CN-TT

Thanks for answering my question. You're probably getting tired of praise but the design and execution (in ALL areas it seems) are fantastic. Really, really great project. I believe it belongs in general model train publications regardless of the fact that it's TT. You should submit it to the various magazines as a standalone article.

What's up with me in the Guitar Duo picture :wtf:  I should probably take less of what I had for breakfast! Or more???

@ConducTTor: Thanks for all the praise! I never get tired of all the questions!!! I'm also really surprised how well it works all the time!
Maybe I should submit it to the various magazines as a standalone article!? Any magazine suggestions?

Model Railroader is the first that comes to mind.

I agree. In my view, Model Railroader is still the primary magazine, especially for beginners in the hobby, and an article about the GuiTTar Case layout will do the most to promote awareness of TT's existence and validity among the model railroading public. I hope you find the time and energy to do this!

The other option is MRH, their advantage is that the e-magazine is free, which may help draw in younger modelers who don't want to pay for paper publications. But then, MRH has already indicated that they're inclined to promote TT, so Model Railroader seems the most promising venue for your efforts.

Go for it!
