2015 NMRA Convention - Portland, OR

Based on some of the comments in this posting maybe it's time to create an updated list of TT scale suppliers? I never knew that Model Logging Supply even existed let alone supply TT scale. I'm going to buy at least one of his kits just to let him know that there is an interest.

Maybe have a document that can be printed and handed out at show's along side of the other documents that were just recently created. And as someone suggested in another post we can all throw in a small paypal amount to help offset printing costs.

Also, I think our current list of links has a large number of dead links or links to shops/people who are no longer in business or no longer doing TT scale.

Just throwing it out there.

Not another document, please. Two different TT handouts were one too many in my opinion. And already there was confusion about which version of PDF to use for reprints. A third document would be a burden. One TT handout with the features which you suggest would be my ideal. Maybe the suppliers could pay something for the advertising - that's the way business works.

I think Bill summarized it during the show;

Handout #1: for -anyone- who wants info: single-sheet, tri-fold
- General information about TT-scale, size, history, and -LINKS- to more info
- Bring MANY...

Handout #2: for -Modelers- interested in TT-scale: Color, bi-fold
- Details about TT-scale, size, history, and overview of product sources;
including Engines, cars, structures, track, and details... Including ads or links...
- Bring fewer... Hand them out personally...

Optionally... a guide to the TT-tracks layout might be good to have... with the sections identified by:
Name or theme, owner's name, and location

Somewhere between Shenzhen and Budapest...

One question I just thought of- Did anyone run into Joe (Shipsure) while in Portland? He seems to have dropped off the face of the TT earth, I know he mentioned last year he would be at the MTL booth. I wondered if he's OK or if something happened, or if he just got too busy for TT?

YES!!! I talked with him at length... a very nice guy.
Somehow he thought no one was interested in what he was doing...!!! I hope I convinced him otherwise.

We agreed to follow up... I'll pass on what I find out.
