Sometime later he came back and said, that to help us, he was going to re scale one or two of his kits, make one of each, and donate it to the cause.

So sad to say he is not going to produce them commercially.

Ah, sorry, I did not understand you well.
I thought that he was going to rescale one or two kits ans sell them, as "special edition" kit...

Display issues.

The display did not run perfectly. I had to fix a self induced track problem on one module - didn't get the rail in the joiner when I glued the track down.
On another module the rail was half in and half on the rail joiner.
The uneven tables caused a few ski jumps that caused uncoupling. Shimming helped that.

As well there is the issue of the distance the track is set back from the front edge of the module.
I have written one thing and then done that or something else different, a few times.<G>

Discussion of that and backdrops and other topics will be continued on the TT-Tracks thread.

Still despite those issues the display ran well and looked pretty good.

Sad to say orders have been light.

I've seen these kits sometimes ago (on Ebay?). As for me, they look too plain, too artless for the price of $25.00, especially with current exchange rates and crisis in Russia.

But maybe I'll take 2 or 3 for my layout. I didn't think (before) that I can use them without railroad trucks, simply as miner's cabin, company house(s), to build workmen's settlement near the mine... :wall:

Bill, I have some question concerning clinics.
Are the clinics also free? Or should you pay some fee to visit them?..

Almost all the clinics are free.

The Modeling With The Masters clinics have a fee. And they sell out (mostly) so reserve in advance.
And they require tools, so look at the list and bring them.

Some of the "regular" clinics have a fee - the LCC clinic let you take home a small computer board.
Some regular clinics have registration (even tho they are free) - Airbrush clinics had a signup.

So we have a new supplier for buildings.
Things are looking good for TT.

Let him know he's free to post on here. I'd love to know what kits he makes available.

Bill Dixon wrote:A repair desk.

The repair desk despite being necessary, dropped wheels, coupler issues, loco issues, etc., turned out to be popular. People would stop and watch, ask questions or even sit down for a while.

I think if space and personnel are available, a small repair/model building area would be a good addition to a display.

That's a really good idea Bill. Definitely requires more than one person being around though.
