Great setup. Bill!

I think the train show pays some of the mileage costs ?

Are you to pay some fee for your participation in the show with your layout?
Or, on the contrary, you get some honorarium for your layout?
Or is it free?..

We pay nothing to participate. I have no idea if we get an honorarium.

Never thought about it this way but it makes a lot of sense

The essence of both layout design clinics I attended was to build a Railroad not just a switching puzzle.

By starting with a Revenue module you have the beginnings of a railroad. Then when you add an Organization module you have somewhere to run from. The Connection modules give mileage. If or when your railroad gets large enough you can add the support modules.

By building modules you don't bite off too much at once.

Too much. Just started looking. I will accept Staples if nothing else comes up.. Starting to wonder if it would be cheaper to buy an all in one Laser Color printer-copier and use it up.

Gave up looking for a cheaper copy place and went back to Staples.
The nice young lady there helped me with my printing.
I did 50 color copies each of the two flyers for $1.00 each and another 50 black and white copies of the three fold.

These are now all folded and ready to hand out.

Richard Brennan showed up around 2pm with his modules. Unfortunately he had a bad case of "Life" so his modules were not ready to go in the display.
We decided to set them up on one of the tables where he could work on them while talking to people.
As we were deciding how to move a table to make space for this a pair of convention staff cane by in an electric cart with a table. When we indicated interest in it the offered us a fully dressed table, plastic on top and black skiting all around. They also brought us more chairs.
We decided to put this table at the end of the staging yard.

It's been a long tiring Fantastic day!

The Guittar layout ran well while it's master was there. Got a little stroppy for some of the rest if us. Bjoern says it's an operator problem.

Other than a quickly fixed track problem, the main display ran well. Most derailments were caused by running through a switch thrown against the train.

We talked to a lot of people. Those who had never heard of TT Scale and wanted to know what it was.
Those who knew was but had never seen it and even a few who were still running it.

Many nice comments about the display. A very nice thank you from the show for having a low kid friendly layout. Almost every other layout was up at adult height.

At the start of the show Model Railroad Hobbyist online magazine filmed the layout and interviewed me about TT-Scale. It will be interesting to see what comes of that.

All in all a very good day.
