For those that are not aware, we have mostly completed the move from North Dakota to Georgia. All that is left is the furniture, the tractor and the fishing boat. At present time we are house hunting, but during the trip down, we made sure to stop at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, MO, which has quite an eclectic collection of locomotives and railcars. Lindsey was on hand to pose (while Zeke, Ernie and Bert are packed away).
I have to sort through and find the pictures on the camera card and on Photobucket, but here is the first few pictures of Lindsey with the world's largest tanker car, GATX# 96500, a whale of a car that was just over 96 feet, 7 and 5/8 inches long, and could carry 50,000 gallons at a time and rode on 4 4-wheel trucks, with a pair of trucks on each end connected by span bolsters.
