Very interesting concept on the chassis. Even if I didn't care for this model, I'd buy one out of sheer respect for the thought that is going into it.

Here I am after work, sitting with file in hand trying to get a decent-looking curvature onto the rear end of the long hood on my BL2, and I see this.

And it makes me wonder why I bother with a file, and why I don't just learn CAD instead...!

Very, very nice work!

Curious: will (eventually) it be possible to get just a body shell on its own? (Seeing as my intent would be to bash it into an SD38-2)

Yup, We'll have the shells available as a separate part, I've got a couple bash projects myself! Probably not until the second run, but they'll be out there.

me too maybe. when the SD40 was released, australia didn't miss out, albeit ours had to be 'squeezed' a bit for the tighter loading gauge.

Still waiting for the package from New Zealand! :cry:

I got an email a while ago, the masters for the side frames are done, he was checking on the price for having it cast in NZ
to see if it would be cheaper. Then he was going to send along the masters with the artwork for the etches, but nothing yet.

Drum roll please...
I got a package in the mail today!

A couple small problems, the front pilot was broken in shipping, and the package containing the other parts isn't here yet (and was mailed a couple weeks ago :boohoo:

I contacted Mark, so hopefully soon we'll have the whole shooting match together. And I have the artwork to start shopping around for an etcher, so it's looking real good!
