TT Pilgrimage

You'll never guess where I went...

Wow!!! This was the high point of my trip to Europe so far! I was so excited that my hands were shaking (sorry for some of the out of focus pictures). Definite TT overload!

Tillig has a museum and shop housed in this building.

You enter into the shop area and everything they make is on display in glass cases, labeled and organized. On the walls are boxes upon boxes of Tillig items for sale.

The museum is upstairs (6 euros for my uncle and I). It is the total progression from the large scale tin plate models Zeuke started with to what they make today.

Right across the way past the blue locomotive...

Is this place...

Now, despite your personal feelings towards their lack of email response, this is the single best model shop I have ever been in!
Here is the score. All the models are in glass cases on display and once you find what you are looking for you can find it by the item numbers on the shelf. Not just Tillig. Everything you can think of. So, before you ask: do they have this? Yes. What about this? Yes! And? Yes!! Enjoy!

I had a real hard time picking out what to get. It was a real overload. I tried to get things that could not be gotten through the normal channels or special items. I never thought having everything you ever wanted at your finger tips would be this hard. If you have any questions about the products ask away. I saw them all. By the way, that new PIKO G 1206 looks and works great. Can't wait to get it home!

Also, here are the newest Tillig products. Very fine detail even on the sliding doors.

Hey CSD,

I'm envious, this comes very close to my imagination of a better place  just shaking by looking at your pictures.....
Cant wait to get there myself in December, I have already planned an entire day for this occasion. Probably have to put a cap on my Credit card or I will go crazy
Looks fantastic & you enjoy your stay! How much longer you going to stay in the old country?

Thanks for the photos, Mark. I can't stop drooling. Hope you spoke to them about the e-mail thing.

Woooooowwwwww.... o.o

The TT scale Shinkansen!

I kinda have a dream one day of getting a couple sets of them and kitbashing it to make a correct (to-scale) Shinkansen set... though the collectors would draw & quarter me for it...

Looks like an awesome display!
