alex ...a theoretical question as i know you're busy, but how much work is involved in enlarging an item like a truck, that is, just blowing it up over all dimensions. to make it a small percentage - say 9% - bigger?

How much work? Roughly 5 minutes from opening the CAD software to having it available for purchase on Shapeways.

oh? so in terms of small changes in size, like between TT and 3mm, the adjustments would be minor? that's kind of interesting.

Well it depends. For something like a truck I'd just re-size the whole thing. If it's something like a car, wall thicknesses and small details would have to be individually edited so it's a lot more work.

do you mind me raising it, so far as it applies to trucks, with members of the 3mm society? a few of them may be interested -a number of the more modern UK wagons use American style cast freight bogies which are similar to both the styles you've done.
