I am. But I think it's going to have to be one of those things that I ask you guys to suggest somewhere down the line. Too much going on right now.....

Absolutely. No real need for optional sideframes until we have a locomotive to put them on. Just keep chippin' away on the U30b project...

That's a very interesting photo!

Argument? I don' recall an argument, only an interesting discussion that prompted me to do some equally interesting digging on Google. Besides, we both agreed from the start that optional sideframes would be a good thing.

The more discussion the group has about this loco project, the more enthusiastic I'm getting!

No problem. Thanks.

@ Marquette (and other interested parties) - It is possible to add alternate side frames to the mold as an aftermarket part.

I am primarily an HO and S scale modeler, but I am dabbling in TT as well. I voted that I would buy more than one. I would PREFER that mine come UNDECORATED... but since I model the southeastern US roads, I will want one of mine to wear an Atlantic Coast Line (ACL) scheme appropriate for the year 1957 (havent done my research on ACL's SW-1200 units yet to find out exactly what scheme that would be). As for the other one... I'm still trying to determine what other SE roads had SW-1200s... so let me get back with you IF this project gets the green flag.

Who knows... I may need THREE or more.

Oh, one more thing... it must be DCC "READY"... and I would like to see this model produced with the necessary internal room needed for adding a speaker for SOUND as well... possibly in the fuel tank since one of the concept photos shows the motor lying on it's side instead of being recessed into the fuel tank - the speaker could be mounted facing down and small holes on the bottom of the fuel tank would allow the sound to excape.

Hello John - The model will definitely be DCC ready. The interior space is very limited in this model, but that does not mean we won't try to add a speaker location.

Just received the first preproduction sample of the body shell. Looks very good! Will have the rest of the parts in a few days.

Folks, I screwed up. Tried to add another choice to the paint scheme topic and it erased all the results. Please visit that topic and resubmit. Sorry.
