TT Scale. The Ideal Scale.

Hi all,

while viewing some PRR diagrams for this info I wondered if there even exist a standard floor height for NA flat and box cars. If not, who know what was the common floor heigt for normal flat cars with stake pockets until the 1950's?

I think the 'standard' platform height, if I understand your meaning right, was just a byproduct of the standard coupler height...

I meant the distance between top of rail and floor of these wagons. So it seems pretty much all car types had its own floor height. And is there any 'standard' for the height of loading docks respectively ramps?

Oh sorry, my mistake, was a translation error. I don't meant platform specs for passenger service but for freight loading.

Far as I know they were all fairly similar. North American railways were for a long time very resistant to standardisation, but certain things had to be of necessity...
