LOL. i hope not.
i was referring to the south australian railways, who 'scratchbuilt' these beasts in 1951 by aiming for the look of the Alco PA with a lot of English-Electric design and an EE motor, with General Steel Casting trucks- like EMD E unit trucks but in this case, much longer.
they built ten of these because with postwar austerity, was cheaper to roll your own than order from the UK or USA.
i like the individualism of early diesels. not only these, but DL109s, FM erie-builts etc and some of the other exotics like south american sharknose baldwins. there was a lot of creativity.
