After 5 hours I said the hell with it and reverted back. There are a bunch of mods done to the board that updates don't play nice with.

Hey, it works just fine. There is a Russian proverb that says that "better is the enemy of good"...

At the risk of sounding like a dickhead, but I do believe the site is not set for daylight savings time, as the board is one hour ahead of my clocks here on the east coast.

Then again, I could be backwards in time.......

I've made some tweaks to make the load time for the board shorter. Several tools used to measure site speed indicate that performance is much better. I'm curious if it's noticeable to humans. Can you guys tell a difference - as in, is the site faster for you (I won't tell you what I think. Because that's top secret ;))?

The navigation time was OK before, but now it flies! I get sub-second page load speeds... magic!

It is with great sadness that I have to inform you all that we have unwillingly gone back in time. The last 2 1/2 days worth of data - posts, pictures, topics, etc - are gone. I had an issue with the data files and the most recent usable backup is from just after 3pm on the 18th.

Here is a suggestion: for the Models Library section, perhaps we should have a section for tools/jigs that can be used to help assemble TT models, such as scales, gauges, and the like. A good example is the Kadee #702 coupler assembly jig, which makes assembling the Kadee #713/714 a lot easier.

Or perhaps those should be in a file in the modelmaking section with files set-up showing how to use said tools/jigs for teaching/refreshing those here that like to build their own stuff, or have a desire to do so, and just do not know how to get started.

Just an idea. Perhaps I need to get my thoughts together a bit better, I feel kinda fuzzy right now.

I like the posts you added with the tools. And I agree it's a good idea to have a post dedicated to the subject. However, that shouldn't be within the model library - after all, tools are not models. I'll think of something and add a dedicated topic or forum and move your posts there.
