Berlin diorama

Berlin diorama

I have no new 'real' layout but a small diorama following a German prototype:

Joern, is this new? I haven't come across it on your site before - maybe I just missed the link to it.

Joern - I saw the thread at TT-Board (me = Shinkansen there).

I was in Berlin last summer, your dio definitely captures the feel of place! Love it!

Beautiful . I love the graffiti. Did you make the backdrop photo or is it a commercial product? ....dave

Does look good, it has a brilliant dense urban feel. Reminds me of the areas I passed through on the train into Berlin from Dresden.

It's very new. I added that page to my site on March 16th.

I took the backdrop photo in Berlin in summer 2009. It is the real background of the modelled location. For the graffiti, I used a commercial product, however. See http://www.modellbahnaufkleber.de/en_in ... =aufkleber

Just for fun, I took pictures of American and Russian equipment on that diorama. Not at all historically correct, but interesting how these vehicles would look in that environment.

That's a really nice looking NYC loco, did you paint it?
I've got to make some of those neat photo backdrops for my new layout, they really finish off the scene.....dave
