First, Excuse my English

Well, Scrachtbulding has begun, first we cut the cabins, to adjust the measures, and then I did a test to match the curve of
the roof.

I cut the sides and a strip of Evergreen for the roof, I also drilled holes for windows, and small strips for window profiles.

Then check that fits well in the donor locomotive.

In a comparison with her sister at N Scale, it is clear that we must reduce the height of the donor.

After increasing the thickness of the roof and round the edges a little putty to go polish the result. And not bad looking.

The real test comes when we match the tone and we see the imperfections, that we will be correcting

Respect to your kit bashing skills! The easiest (but not cheapest) way to lower the loco is to use the Roco BR 120 chassis instead of the Tillig. The Tillig BR 120 looks retarded thanks to their long "legged" truck design.

conducTTor, what do you mean by 'long legged' truck design? are you referring to the gap between the trucks and the bottom of the body - such that it sits too high ? also i am wondering if the tillig truck is powered on all axles?

Trying to solve the height of the Locomotive. I decided remove 4MM of the top of the Metal Chasis and de Buffers support.

Get some, but not at all

Finally decided open a hole at the plastic roof, then gain 2MM more, and now is perfect. Trucks rotate without touching.

Now the view is almost perfect.

Starting to look very good! Perhaps remove a few mm on each side of the body between the doors and round windows?

Thanks
The Locomotive, have the correct dimensions at 1/120, by the moment I don´t care with the wheels tie ¿? I dont know this expression in English "Empate de las Ruedas" dimensions of the tracks, this is because I Will use the same Donor for another Locomotive the Alco DL-500, RENFE 316-318 "Marilyn" (Morritos) "Big Lips" That have the same "Empate".
In a Future whit the same Tillig, Will enlarge the Chasis, for this One.

Today work, the Roof and Headwall Lights.
